 Frequently Asked Questions

FAQs

What does a session with you typically look like?

-Every client and every client-therapist relationship is unique, so each therapy session is unique as well. In general, I’ll usually start by asking what you'd like to address that day, and then allow you to lead us where we need to go. I’m not the expert in your life, and this is your journey! We’ll move at a pace that feels comfortable for you. I may ask questions to guide you in further exploration, provide insight, or offer practices that I think you may benefit from. You get to choose what resonates with you and what doesn't! I aim to create a safe space for you to be your authentic self. I try to bring a warm, casual, and genuine energy to the session. I’m here to facilitate the exploration process and empower you to trust yourself and the answers that come. ~ Learn more about me.

How do I know if I'm ready for therapy?

-You’re truly the only one that can know if you’re ready to begin therapy. If you aren't sure what you’re needing or if you’re ready, we can explore and figure that out together! Starting therapy and being vulnerable with someone can be scary. If you're ready to begin therapy, you’re taking a step for YOU and your well-being. Whatever you may be struggling with, just remember, you don’t have to do it alone. I’m here to be by your side.

How long does therapy take?

-The length of therapy will depend on your specific circumstances. It’s all dependent on your needs and what feels most aligned for you. I often like to remind clients (and myself), that therapy is a marathon, not a sprint. There’s no quick and easy fix, no matter how much we may want it! We can discuss and explore a timeline together that feels best for you.

Do you provide in-person sessions?

-Yes, I provide both in-person and virtual sessions. In-person sessions are available at my office in Fort Collins. Virtual sessions are available for all Colorado residents, via a secure and easy-to-use telehealth platform.

What are the cost of sessions?

-Sessions will be 50-55 minutes long. I offer a FREE 20-minute consultation to see if we’re a good fit before scheduling your first session. Following the initial consultation, each session will be $125.00. More info on my therapy services.

Who do you typically work with?

-I provide therapy services to adults 18 and up, residing in Colorado. I specialize in anxiety/chronic worry, relationship conflicts, highly sensitive individuals, self-compassion, and life transitions. My services are LGBTQIA2S+ affirming, and I'm committed to helping clients of all genders, sexual identities, and

expressions feel safe and welcome.

How can I tell if you're a good match for me?

-For this question, I encourage you to trust what your gut is telling you. Read through my website and trust how you feel as you learn more about me and my approach. If you think I may be a good fit for you, reach out to schedule a FREE consultation. During the consult you have the opportunity to ask me any questions you may have. After the consult, if you feel like we’re not a good fit, that's okay! My wish for you is to find a therapist that you feel safe with and that feels like the best match for you. If that’s not me, no problem at all.
